WESTERN EDITION

I co-founded WE with Kent Uyehara (Owner of the world famous FTC Skateshop) in 1999 and have been the creative director and primary designer since. The name is a play on the San Francisco neighborhood "Western Addition" which was considered the Harlem of the West in its mid century hey day. It was home to a lively night life and music scene until urban renewal changed it forever. We try to honor its past and the musicians who were a part of that time.
